“ Food: 3/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Parking: 3/5 Family friendly: 5/5 Stroller friendly: 5/5 River Ranch is a nice little hidden gem in downtown Riverside when the old Slater 50/50 used to be. We came here on New Year's Eve, Eve around 7 pm or so. I'm a sucker for service and at this time the service was excellent and very accommodating. Citlaly was our waitress and she was phenomenal. There was a super chill DJ playing a variety of music to get people in the groove of things. We ordered quickly and got a 3 protein River Ranch combo with tri- tip, brisket and chicken. ($37.95). Brisket needed to be smoked longer and have more bark because it was a bit dry. Tri-tip was decent and chicken was so so. We also ordered chicken nachos ($18.95) and they were decent as well. Just seemed like a lot of the food is for fast consumption, almost like bar food. ( Which is not bad, but for the price could've been better). Stars of the show though were the cocktails. However I did get a mezcal old fashion that was $25, which I think probably could've been the same price as the regular old fashion $13-15. But anyway, it was good. Overall, not a bad place to come by. Next time I drop in maybe the food quality will catch up to the price and ambiance. ”

“ There are 2 reason's I am providing a 5 star review: 1. Reina provided the best service. She was kind, patient, understanding, accommodating, provided amazing recommendations, was attentive, went out of her way to make us feel comfortable, and she had an amazing memory, it was remarkable. Thank you for providing a space for us to connect and enjoy our company and delicious drinks. 2. The drinks were unbelievably delicious. I had a some watermelon drink that was made for me due to my allergies that tasted like a watermelon jolly rancher that was not too sweet and that was sooo good. The other one was some type of strawberry drink that was cool and refreshing and went down easy. My friend had a prickly pear margerita and shared it was delicious. We had mac n cheese and house salads which were good, I enjoyed having corn in the salads. When I arrived at the restaurant, a family walked in front of me and the person working there saw this happen and still chose to seat the family first as the family was able to walk inside where I was not able to do to my disability. I waited patiently and made eye contact multiple times and the person continued to ignore me. I then said "Hi" and the person looked directly at me and walked away. I then screamed "Hello, please don't ignore me, i would like to be seated please" and the person turned around looked at me and went behind the bar where the person proceed to have a conversation and point at me. I then called the restaurant and I watched the phone ring as the 2 people behind the bar pointed at me and did not motion towards the phone. Eventually Reina picked up and was kind and accommodating. It was deeply painful to experience such exclusion and discrimination due to my disabilities and I am so grateful that Reina did not continue to engage in this bullying behavior, thank you Reina for being kind to the queer, trans, non binary, autistic, disabled people who chose to dine at the place you work at. I appreciate you treating us like humans. ”

“ Husband and I came last night and it great. We showed up right before happy hour ended so we quickly ordered some beers and wings to start. The buffalo wings were great and they came out fast. For dinner I ordered the NY steak, medium, and it was cooked perfectly. For my sides I ordered loaded garlic mashed potatoes and Mac & Cheese. The Mashed potatoes were amazing the Mac&cheese was meh I'll skip it next time. There was a live DJ playing all the jams. It also wasn't too loud where you have to yell across the table so that was nice. All in all we'll be back for sure and we'll tell people about it. We also like how the owner was very involved in helping clean up and bring out stuff for other customers. ”

“ I had the trifecta. Not one of the dishes but having a five star experience three times in a row at this relatively new place. Although I've yet to have dinner here I have had brunch and lunch twice. The menu is the star of the show with a variety of grill to order meats that are well seasoned and flavorful. The service seems understaffed but accommodating, timely, and friendly. We never felt like we were waiting. Melissa and T thanks for putting up with the ROMEO's for our Friday lunch!
